My experience of Shamanic Journeying
Updated: Mar 4, 2021
Part of what I wanted to write in my blogs, were the experiences I have had during meditations or journeying. This particular journey, I was 3 months into my awakening, and experiencing many downloads and felt confused and un-grounded. I did a journey or guided meditation at least 3 times a week which I found particularly difficult to start with, I am certainly not the most patient of people and found just sitting, almost unbearable. This is partly the reason I did guided meditations, to keep me focused, prepare my body and mind to travel to the astral realms where the journeying happens, and protect myself with requesting Source, Angels and my Spirit Guides support and guidance.
The difference between journeying and meditations are fairly similar experiences but the journeying is a Shamanic way listening to drums or rattle to journey to the different planes.
My belief is that by sharing my journey of spiritual awakening, you can learn too how to communicate better with your guides, learn what the universe is trying to tell you, and answering questions you wish to know about. For example, this mediation, was to meet my Spirit Animal. I used a ritual practice to enhance the process using Oracle Cards in certain places, as well as crystals for the specific purpose of the meditation to be as potent as possible. You don't have to use either of these items, however, for a more powerful experience, it is helpful.
There are three worlds in Shamanism. The upper world is full of help and healing, a world full of unconditional love and guidance. Each of us have a beneficent spiritual teacher living in the shamanic upper world who has been looking out for your well being since you came here. You also have a power animal ally who lives in the shamanic lower world, who has been protecting and guiding you throughout your life.
In the middle world where you live are trees, birds, stars, sun, moon and stone spirits all calling out to you, singing 'you are loved, you are not alone'.
Shamanic Journey to meet my Spirit Animal - 4th August 2018
Spirit animal – White Stag
Stimulating great spiritual changes within a person. Great events, leading you to the creation of new nations and kingdoms.
The information that I received along with the image was the following:
Interchangeable with the unicorn, on the same spiritual plane and high dimensions
Mesopotamia, Babylon, Assyria, Mongolia, China and Japan include the belief of the White Stag or White Hart
The Celts belief was to symbolises the existence of the other-world forces are present in action.
An agent from the other-world and a bringer of great change
King Arthur’s quest of white stag represents the search for spiritual quest, purity, divinity and awakening.
Deer spirit animal – highly sensitive and have a strong intuition. Dealing with challenges with grace
Both determined and gentle in my approach
Gentleness and heart energy.
Magical, mystical qualities
Refine intuition and psychic abilities
Druids - Ogham tree lore Birch stands at the gateway to spiritual enlightenment. He encourages stability, patience and patience is a virtue bestowed on the wise.
To encourage the stag into my energy, think of autumn, the druids and New Year. The power of autumn and looking west and Archangel Uriel will be facing you. The stag lowers its antlers in the salute, as Uriel removes your worries and allows you to free.
Oracle Cards used for the four cardinal points of the compass to surround me:
When I picked cards from my Guardians and Angels oracle cards for my four points they were:
Druid at head – hold the space
Animal guardian at right hand – trust your instincts
Autumn at feet – release the old and rest
Arrow to left – surround yourself with protective energy
All this ties together with Druid traditions. I have a deep connection with the earth – scholars who created the Ogham tree language. Think of a tree which has a story in its strong roots, yet continues to grow and bear fruit. My life is a reflection of this.
Guardian angel card – You are not alone. Watch for signs and reminders from angels and loved ones. They are working hard to guide you
Animal guardian card – trust the powerful animal spirit within to learn more about yourself and your talents. They are angels of the animal kingdom. Angels of nature. Lessons to teach us and medicine that can support you on your spiritual journey. Tribal angel being held and supported by her animals. Astraea (my Gatekeeper guide) was supported by an elk, a hawk, bear and wolf. Nature is connected closely to the spirit realms. Animals don’t second guess, they just express it and learn from it and live by instinct, in the flow of life.
Arrow card – surround yourself with positive people and experiences and environments that make me feel safe. Call in angels, guides and ancestors to bring me protection.
Native people used bow and arrow as a weapon of choice. My Lyran feline being (first incarnation in this solar system), changed from a spear and shield to a bow and arrow during war time. There could be energies around me that could lower my vibration. If you are in a situation where you feel that not everything is as clear as it seems, trust your intuition
Autumn card – release all of the pressure and expectation weighing you down. Shed it so that you can recover before moving into a time of renewal. Surrender and regrow new.
Ravens are the bird of healing and initiation helps you move into a more powerful, psychic space. Let go of the old to make space for the new. You are guided by animals and nature itself to release what no longer serves and moving forward
